painted skin is pretty good. I watched it in theaters here. apparently its based on a classic book or something. i think that in the film you miss a lot of the character histories and complexities but it was still a great movie.
I”m having a field day with VCDs here because they are so cheap I just buy mystery ones that sound good.

You are seriously lucky! It takes ages for the great films to get to the US.
I have a friend who goes to HK a few times a year and brings me back really cool films. He knows I like supernatural, so he’s bringing me back PAINTED SKIN. I’ve seen the trailer, and it looks amazing

I loved the film. You can rent it on Netflix and see if you agree before buying it

I really liked it. Hope you do too. Be sure to post a comment once you see it. Most Americans have not heard of it

It’s a great film, isn’t it? The trailer doesn’t really do it justice. The story has a deep emotional core

I bought the DVD some days ago =D

    KubotA0;
Wow, so many. Do you like anime?
I’m watching a very strange Japanese anime 10-disk series called GANTZ. I love it!
Unfortunately, there are only 2 episodes on each DVD, so I’m only only episode 3 and 4. Check for a description on NETFLIX, but it is very cool and weird.

Since you like OLDBOY, I’ll recommned MEMORIES OF MURDER, TALE OF TWO SISTERS, and THE RED SHOES (all fairly recent KOREAN horror- really mindbending)

    Yaeh?
    I like that!!
What other good asien movies do you know??

Most American films seem drab and unimaginative in comparison to Japanese and particularly Korean films.
I am a complete Korean film junkie!

  19. KubotA0 March 23, 2009 2:30 am

    ……….odd.
Don´t you think? this movie seems to be odd.
    I WANNA SEE!!
Japanese and korean movies are the best.
they seem to give you more than other movies do…
If we learn to dream, we can do what´s in the movie is, too (HaHA)
