Yes. Seiken Densetsu 3 has a very popular rom translation that people play. It’s a stellar game.

Seriously, I can’t beat someone like Flora’s dungeon. It’s mainly because of the damn tigers that move twice as fast as other monsters… and yeah, you die in 1 hit… and your health isn’t just down to 1, you ARE level 1, no matter what. God, they challenge you too hard… I mean, I want to know if something really awesome happens if you get all 20 memories recovered. (By the way, Shirma and Croma are awesome. ^^)

Really? I thought it lasted quite a while. I thought all Final Fantasies, even the ones that don’t really count last quite a while. lol. Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon is practically short but I actually had to level up a bit and other than the 4 elemental dungeons there’s a few memory ones you had to do too. (By the way, I hate the special rule dungeons… ugh… especially the ones that make you have 1 HP. There’s 6 dungeons I still have to beat.)

That game rocked! but it was way to short

  5. AkumaUchitoru March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Same here. ^^ But I was thinking Final Fantasy Legend III is just one step better then this.

  6. AkumaUchitoru March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Yeah, and Legend of Mana is 4, 2 if you don’t include FFA and Seiken Densetsu 3 which I think is Japan only (though they could be fan translations or something, because I think some people play the game anyway.) Square-Enix games rock! ^^

This brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting this.

I no one cares really but I saved up money all summer from cutting grass in my neighborhood so I could buy this game.

I know what you mean. Nothing really conveys the same feeling of stark, sparse melancholy as a well made gray scale game.

  9. andrey22 March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

you too as well? I beat it and FFA when I was 7 and it also made me cry.
You could say that end of LA was really depressing…..well , at least we get the hint that marin lived after all.
It was one of the zeldas with the strongest storyline (along with MM).

Every year I play this game a little more, I have no idea if I’ll ever beat it

You should do the title track song. Beautiful melody.

  12. erlendht March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

This is such a great game! its such a shame what happened to the Seiken Densetsu series of late :/

  13. cirellio March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Woot Seiken Densetsu! And of course there’s the GBA remake, too.

  14. Sephiko March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

That is an overworld theme that I am quite familiar with :)

  15. MisterDominoX March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

YAY! Brilliant choice, SupraDarky! More music from Game Boy FFs!

I’d like to recommend the overworld theme from FF Legend II.

Allright!!! One of the best song I’ve ever heard on the GB!! Thinking bout it, I think this is the best GB game that ever came out!

A worthy game to hold the name of Seiken Densetsu!

  17. Valis77 March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

    not 100% accurate but ok!

  18. SchlossRitter March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

zophar-dot-net collects all kinds of console related stuff. Right now, the link to their music archive is on the main page’s right column, under “Other Releases”.

Also snesmusic-dot-org has a much more comprehensive collection of SNES music, with more consistently tagged files.

  19. SchlossRitter March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Just thought I’d help clarify :-P

  20. Valis77 March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

    Whatever genius!

  21. MarioNavi March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

The start of the Mana series… Supra, this game was my all time favorite classic on the orginal GameBoy!!!! You Rock!

  22. VGKing March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Really? I thought it was pretty much just fan translations (some in languages nobody cares about (except Rudra, maybe :P )).

  23. WillSerenity March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

This is my favorite game boy game of all time right here!

  24. screweyedfoe March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

    crybaby

  25. Sephiko March 16, 2009 12:14 pm

Those two mean a lot to me too. I was so sad at the end of Link’s Awakening…

The part that made me really sad in this one was with that girl who got turned into Medusa.
