1. On thick paper make an outline of the sword you want to make and cut it out
2. Take piece of board and clamp it in place on bench or a sawhorse. Place the pattern for your sword on the board and trace around it with a carpenter’s pencil.
3. Using a power saw carefully cut out the sword.
4. With rough sandpaper sand around the edges then switch to fine sandpaper to finish off.
5. Paint the blade part with silver paint and the handle part with a darker colour or wrap the handle part with tape or other material. Leather strips would look good too.
